E-learning on Corporate Social Responsibility
Sustainable development rests on three fundamental pillars: economic growth, ecological balance, and social progress. In times of the financial crises, the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is widely discussed in the economic and political world. Increasingly, organisations are taking steps to demonstrate and enhance their CSR. In fact, coherent CSR strategy, based on sound ethics and core values, offers business benefits to address the social, economic, and environmental issues of organisations' activities. The commitment in the area of social responsibility thus becomes a strategic decision.
CSR is not only related to the sustainability of the society, but as well to the sustainability of the organisation it self. As CSR contributes to the motivation and involvement of the staff and therefore enhances a company's potential for improvement and economic development by activating its capabilities of innovation and creativity. In order to translated CSR concepts and perspectives into tangible action, suitable tools and methods are needed. The current online course is designed to respond to such challenges by developing skills such as organisational development, mediation, coaching and stakeholder dialogue.
