Paolo Baracchini


Paolo Baracchini graduated as a chemical engineer in 1981 (Polytechnical School of Genova). He is specialized in business management, is accredited as a "European Quality Manager" (1996) and has obtained the qualification of ISO 9001 auditor in 1996 and ISO 14001 environmental auditor in 1997. Additionally, he is qualified assessor and trainer for the EFQM model and for the Swiss ESPRIX award. He is also certified auditor in the area of health and safety (according to the SUVA certification) and acts as expert in the implementation of the OHSAS 18001. 

Throughout his professional career, Paolo Baracchini has worked in technical development, research, as well as environment and quality management in international companies across Europe. He is presently working with QS&P as a specialized consultant in the management and implementation of sustainable development within companies and administrations.

Furthermore, he collaborates and intervenes in the framework of various training programmes at the Swiss Technical School in Lausanne (EPFL) and other specialized high schools, universities and training institutes in Switzerland and abroad. He is also active among various associations in the field of management and sustainable development. As an author of numerous articles in his field of expertise, he published the book "Guide for the implementation of the environmental management in enterprises" in collaboration with the PPUR in Lausanne.
