Boukary Ouédraogo


Boukary Ouédraogo is a Professor (Economist) in the Department of Law at the University of Ouaga II (Burkina Faso) since 2002. Educated in Burkina Faso and France, he has a Bachelor in Natural Sciences (1990), a Master in Business Administration (1994), a Master in Industrial and Environmental Economics (1996) and a PhD in Economics (2002). He also has an International Certificate in E-learning (COSELEARN). He is currenty finishing  a PhD in Education Sciences at the University of Montreal (Canada). He is married and has 4 children.

Having conducted several years of forest field work and coordinated a CEDRES/University of Ouagadougou inter-university research programme, he is now fully dedicating his time to teaching and to research. He is also an associated researcher at the Theoretical and Applied Economics Research Group (GREThA) at the University of Bordeaux IV (France) and the Inter-Universities Research Centre for the Training and the Teaching Profession (CRIFPE) at the University of Montreal (Canada). He has published several articles in international journals on the topics of forest management, energy economics, microfinance and poverty in Burkina Faso.
