Romana Rombe Bandeira

Romana Rombe Bandeira is, since 1992, Senior Lecturer in Forestry at the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique. She holds a Ph.D. in Forestry from the University of Aberdeen UK, a MSc in Applied Entomology/Pest Management from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine at the London University and a BSc with honors in Forestry Engineering. She is married and mother of two children.

Her current research cover effects of anthropogenic activity on forest ecosystems, wildfire risk assessment, green house gas inventories relating to land use change and forestry, as well as pest management. She is involved in technical assistance and consultancy work on sustainable natural resource use, training needs assessment in agriculture and related fields, and has a strong interest for research on climate change effects on forest ecosystems. Her expertise and professional experiences include publications on forests and livelihoods, and on forest protection.
