Taladidia Thiombiano is founder and director of the Laboratory for Environmental Economics and Socio-econometrics (LEESE) within CEDRES. He has a PhD in Economics of Development, a Master in Socio-econometrics, a Master in Econometrics and several Certificates in Environmental Economics.
Mr. Thiobiano has 34 years of experience as professor of econometrics, environmental economics and research methodologies. Over 25 years he has directed Master and PhD theses (50 graduates in environmental economic and 6 doctorates in the same field). For over a decade, he has been an expert in environmental economics training in the West Africa region (Senegal, Niger, Togo, Benin) and France. Mr. Thiombiano has also been director of the inter-university postgraduate programme (PTCI).
Mr. Thiombiano is also active in several projects and programmes for governmental bodies in West Africa as well as for international cooperation agencies (United Nations, FAO, UEMOA, GTZ). He is author of several books and articles on sustainable development and environmental economics.
